Turbine Hydraulic Fan

APPLICATIONS
Patented Turbine Hydraulic Fans are recommended for difficult cooling applications found on stationary and off-road vehicles. Their superior heavy duty design makes them the most cost effective on-off hydraulic fan systems to install and maintain. They will meet many original equipment manufacturer specifications since they range in size up to 40" diameter and are capable of producing air flows up to 40,000CFM. Consult our engineering department for additional application information.

WHY CHOOSE A TURBINE HYDRAULIC ON-OFF FAN?

  • Provides maximum air flow that meets OEM Specifications.
  • Thermostatically controlled, it operates only when necessary, improving fuel economy, efficiency and performance.
  • Reduces maintenance because the internal components of the hydraulic system operate only when necessary. Other types of on-off fans are constantly turning, even when they are off, wearing out internal components.
  • Eliminates fan alignment problems on vehicles, allowing greater flexibility in the design of cooling systems.
  • Provides better control over engine temperature, increasing motor life.
  • Does not require an air source for fan engagement.

HOW IT OPERATES
An electric clutch mounted to a pump is turned by the engine. A thermostat, responsive to temperature change, engages the electric clutch as necessary, energizing the pump which activates the fan motor. When the radiator or heat exchanger cools, the thermostat opens, disengaging the clutch, stopping the pump and motor from turning.
